Hi,
I’ve just placed my order for a Nome II - and then discovered (doh!) that Logic isn’t supported to be synced by the Nome - and Nome has to follow Logic.
Is this correct - and does this mean that the Nome can’t be the master clock? This might raise issues with any latency in the session affecting the timing of the Nome and the audio recording of the hardware synths and sequencers I use?

Hi
Just so it's clear, when you say "Logic isn’t supported to be synced by the Nome", what this means is "Logic does not support syncing to MIDI Clock". It has nothing to do with the Nome, but only with Logic, it would be the same with any other clock source.
But the good news is that syncing your DAW to a MIDI Clock sent over USB is never very precise anyways
(it's quick and easy and will work if you don't need very precise timing - for example for Live effects, but for recording to the grid it's definitely a no-go)
WIith Logic you can use U-SYNC, which will sync the Nome to Logic much more precisely, and let the Nome send a MIDI Clock to your hardware sequencers precisely in time with Logic's transport.
I'll suggest you skim through the manuals and maybe check the Youtube channel to get you started
Let us know if you need any help with the setup!

Many thanks - got it.
Is bi-directional support for Logic with USync on the roadmap?

Bi-directional is actually very easy to implement, all it takes is a control surface script in the DAW.
But the hardest part is to talk to the company behind the DAW to get access to their scripts. Some companies like Bitwig are really awesome about this and easy to communicate with. Some other companies (Ableton) are extremely closed off about giving any kind of info that could help.
Have you ever tried contacting Apple support? Now imagine trying to contact them to ask about adding a script to Logic...
