How can i stop the pre count ? solved

Post by CitricAcid303 »

Hi,

sorry for my ultra stupid question, im a bit confused with the manual and my own stupidness.

Nome2 runs perfect now with my ableton live 12 on my mac as a slave. It´s in sync. my Live is the master ( dind´t tested it to use Nome as master / have to read the Ableton manual to find out how to do it). Also my recordings, i tryed a Digitakt2 and a Edge, both record perfect in time on the grid.

But i didn´t find out how to disable the Precount and the Metronome. That means i start Live over a midicontroler in my wing. The ableton starts on point but Nome needs a short time and starts with the precount and the metronome and recording starts at the second bar. I didnt need that and i need that the Nome starts on the first Beat like Live did when you hit start.

How can i disable this, so that the nome starts as slave direct on the start at the first step/beat how ever you call this in your language :) ?

Sorry also my english is not the best so sorry for all this..

@simon , your product is awsome, if my other devices are also runs now this tight it will be the best clock on the market i used so fahr !!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Cit,

Glad to hear you sorted it. There is literally no pre-count option when syncing with U-SYNC (I assume that's what you're using), the case that you described I've only seen it when U-SYNC/the Nome misses the very beginning of the first bar, so it can only start your MIDI machines on the next bar (otherwise they would start late and not be on time).

Some DAWs have this issue in very particular setup/configurations, but I've never seen it in Ableton. Bi-drectional should have no effect on this so my guess is you must have changed something else in your Ableton settings that changed that :)
